I spend a lot of time blogging about things that inspire me, make me laugh… things that I’m thankful for, encourage me and shape me …. I write about these things because they’ve made me the person that I am today and continue to become. But there’s one who does all of the above and more – my husband, Steve. I can, with 100% certainty, say that I would not be where I am or who I am today if, 19 years ago this month, God hadn’t brought him into my life.
I know it’s cliché to say that someone is the “wind beneath my wings” and I promise I won’t break out in the full Bette Midler song, however, there is not a truer statement than that for how I feel about Steve. He is my quiet strength, my life anchor, my confidante, my love and my best friend. If you see me out giving a presentation, writing inspirational words, accomplishing seemingly unbelievable goals, being successful at any given thing – it honestly has very little to do with me – it’s because God has given me my life’s solid rock – my husband.
Although you’ll normally find me out front – the visible one; hear from me – the expressive one; never forget that beside me is a man without whom I would never be able to do what I do. I can’t imagine my life without him in it. He is a great husband, one of the most gifted web design/developers I’ve ever met, an amazing father, a wonderful friend and much more.
I am honored to be his wife and on this Father’s Day weekend I felt it was only fitting to write about my greatest inspiration, strength and love. Steve, I love you more than I can ever express in words. You truly are my everything. Happy Father’s Day.
