About Pam Parish
Belonging has shaped everything I do.
I’m a speaker, author, nonprofit founder, mother, and creator of the Redemptive Connection Framework™ — helping families, leaders, and communities understand how healing happens through safe, enduring relationships.

My work began around my own kitchen table.
Long before Connections Homes, Don’t Go Alone, or the Redemptive Connection Framework™, I was a mom learning what belonging requires in real life. Our family grew through birth, foster care, adoption, and young women who needed a safe place to land.
As more young people intersected with our story — from foster care, homelessness, trafficking, family disruption, and aging out without support — I began to see that the need was far bigger than one family could meet.
I kept coming back to one conviction: young adults do not stop needing family just because they turn eighteen.
There had to be a better way.
What began as a personal family journey became a calling to build something larger: a way for young adults without stable family support to be connected to people who would walk with them for life.
Family
As a mother and adoptive parent, I learned that healing is not theoretical. It happens in ordinary moments, repeated repair, steady presence, and love that stays.
Faith
My work is rooted in a redemptive view of people — that God can restore what has been wounded, and that faithful presence can become part of His healing work.
Belonging
Again and again, I have seen that people are not transformed by information alone. They are transformed through safe, enduring connection.
From one family story to a movement of connection.
In 2013, I founded Connections Homes to help prevent poverty and homelessness for youth aging out of foster care or experiencing homelessness without family support. The work officially began in 2014 with a simple but powerful idea: young adults need family, too.
Through the Don’t Go Alone movement, Connections Homes connects young adults ages 18–24 with trained Mentoring Families who commit to being part of their lives for life — not as a programmatic transaction, but as a real, enduring relationship.
That work became the proving ground for what I now call the Redemptive Connection Framework™.
The framework grew from years of walking the long road with real people.
The Redemptive Connection Framework™ helps families, mentors, and leaders understand how people move from isolation and survival toward healthy interdependence.
At its core is the relationship between belonging and self-efficacy: the need to be safely connected, and the growing capacity to act, choose, repair, build, and move forward.

Today, I help people understand the power of enduring connection.
Through writing, speaking, training, and organizational leadership, I help families, churches, nonprofits, and communities practice the kind of connection that helps people heal, grow, and thrive over time.

No one should have to walk alone.
That belief has shaped my family, my books, my leadership, and the work I continue to build. Whether I am speaking to a room of leaders, training mentoring families, writing about connection, or helping organizations rethink care, my message is the same: people heal when someone safe stays long enough for trust to grow.
Let’s help people stop walking alone.
Through speaking, writing, training, and the Don’t Go Alone movement, I help people understand and practice the power of enduring connection.
