I love this prayer for your kids that I saw posted:
“Heavenly Father,
I ask that my kids’ highest goal would be to serve others. You said You give grace to the humble (Proverbs 3:34) and You listen to those with a humble heart (2 Kings 22:19). I pray my children would be heard and receive Your grace as they learn to be a servant to all (Mark 10:43-44). I pray they would do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than themselves (Philip- pians 2:3-5). May they follow Your example as a true servant leader (John 13:12-17, Matthew 20:28, Philippians 2:4) and humbly serve every- one they meet in love (Galatians 5:13). “
This is going to become part of my daily prayers for my children. If we as believers learn to walk in humility and esteem others as better than ourselves, be selfless and serve – God will bless all our endeavors. This is true success for every believer and it’s the life I want my children to live.
