Spring Break Landscaping
So, most of you know that for a lot of our Spring Break “vacation” we took on a major landscaping project. We had 1/2 a truckload of mulch dumped in our driveway on Saturday and bought a ton of herbs, plants and flowers to be planted.
Well, I’m happy to say that by Tuesday evening it was all pretty much done! YAY! We have lots of scratches, sunburned noses (Steve’s head is sunburned, too…. he really should wear a hat), sore muscles and a much better looking landscape to show for it.
I’ve posted some pics below to share our success - couple of things first:
- Our grass is ugly because it hasn’t really started growing back in yet
- Most importantly, our house is NOT teal …. don’t know what happened with my camera - but our house is actually a nice shade of blue.

Where are the earth boxes?????? Come on now….I’m disappointed. LOL
The yard looks beautiful…I’m not sure but it did’nt look like there were any HUGE pine trees planted to prevent neighbors from being able to pull out of your street without harm……things that make you go hhhmmmmm!

Thanks Debbie :-) You’re right there are no HUGE pine trees planted at this house. Remember? We left those for you to enjoy in Pegram! - for those who are wondering, Debbie is my best friend and we bought our first houses in the same neighborhood in TN…. well, our house was the first one as you enter the neighborhood and we were closest to the Interstate… so we planted a row of White Pines near our ditch line to block the noise when they matured. We’ve moved twice now into different states in the 8 years since we planted them and, let’s just say, they’ve matured (as planned) and are doing their job - while at the same time turning getting out of the neighborhood into an extreme sports event :-) sorry Debbie - you know we love you and now you think about us EVERYDAY!!! It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
