More About Me...

I am a wife, mother, follower of Jesus and friend. I live life by faith and understand that God's plans for me are always better than any plans I can have for myself. I don't consider myself a writer, but I love to write. I blog about my experiences, my passions, my thoughts and my failures. It all matters to me, but only some of it may matter to you. Enjoy.

Just a Little More...

My tagline is significant to me because I truly believe that "the rest is still unwritten" - I've learned to simply live each day with gratitude and happiness. You really, honestly don't ever know what tomorrow holds. So, just enjoy the journey.

#22 in 100 Things to Be Thankful for…

Check out the rest of my thankfulness journey here.

#22: New Furniture! :o) Ok, I admit that it might be stretching it a little to say that I’m thankful for new furniture; but I am. More important than the new furniture, however, I’m thankful that God is always faithful to meet our needs. As most of you know, last week we learned that we were going to be parents again. This time to a beautiful 15 year old girl, Kelsey. We also learned that she would be moving in with us in one week. Yikes! We certainly have the space, but our 4th bedroom was completely empty. So, we needed to make adjustments, and quick. Kristan and Heather had both been wanting twin sized beds because their queens took up too much space in their rooms. To make a long story short, we need two twin bedroom sets, quick. And, because this wasn’t planned, we didn’t have a ton of money to spend on the spur of the moment (Dave Ramsey would approve of this message). We found a local company (www.liveforcomfort.com) and a wonderful salesman, Jody, who had some really cute youth furniture and agreed to sell it to us for a very, very good price after learning of our situation. Thanks Jody!!! The girls love their new rooms. I love that we serve a God who sees our needs and provides the answer. Don’t you? Now… um, next … I think we need a mini van :o)

So, without further ado - here are pictures of our newly arranged rooms. Yes, there are a lot of posters and pictures on our girls walls - they’re pre-teens, what can you do? I had a life-sized poster of Bon Jovi on my walls when I was their age:
